Artist Statement
I paint what we often overlook.
Moments that slip by — soft, small, ordinary. But never unimportant.
At The Minakari, I try to hold them still, just for a while longer.
This is a space for the unsaid, the unnoticed, and the quietly beautiful.
Each artwork begins as a feeling, becomes a memory, and ends as a story.
My brush is simply a way of remembering.

![Iâve realised I donât enjoy working fast.
Thereâs a certain slowness that feels essential to how I create.
Of course, there have been times when Iâve had to finish work just to meet a deadline. And when I look back at those pieces, everything might seem technically right⌠but something feels missing. It didnât come from a place where my thoughts had enough time to settle, to deepen, to become clear.
For me, a painting needs time.
Time to sit with it, to question it, to slowly weave a story around it in my mind. I need to live in that world for a while before I can bring it onto the canvas.
That slowness is where the work becomes honest.

![Two women seated together. Familiar, grounded, unremarkable at first glance. But it is in these ordinary moments that entire lives quietly unfold.
This canvas has been quietly taking shape. Hours of sitting with it, adjusting small things, a fold of fabric, a glance.
More of this soon!
